Technical Support Engineer – Infrastructure Support Team

Looking for a dynamic and quick learner engineer, to complete the Infrastructure Support team of eServGlobal.
The Support Engineer is customer-oriented role which is responsible for maintenance and implementation of system components deployed by eServGlobal.

Duties and responsibilities:

Analyzing and resolving incidents related to eServGlobal solutions
Work independently with problem analysis and in implementing workarounds until a final fix can be delivered
Answering to customer’s requests and questions
Remotely monitoring and maintaining eServGlobal solutions
Implementing service requests according to specifications
Communicating with customers, partners and other teams within eServGlobal
Able to travel as and when reasonably requested
Perform 24/7 duty shifts, available on call and perform planned interventions

Qualifications and experience:

University degree in the field of engineering, mathematics or computer science
Relevant technical knowledge of ORACLE Systems, Storage and Middleware
Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of technical support

Technical Knowledge:

Operating Systems: Solaris OS, Linux, Cisco IOS (ITP/ Switches).
Clustering: SUN Cluster, Veritas Cluster, Oracle RAC.
Virtualized infrastructure: XEN / OVM
Storage and SAN administration: EMC VNX / VNXe, Multipathing, FC / iscsi
Volume Management: SUN Solaris / Veritas Volume Manager.
Hardware: Server architecture & components (SUN servers).
Network administration: Concept of VLAN, Switch layer 2: access mode, trunk mode, spanning-tree, bonding, static routes
Oracle database server: Clusterware / grid, ASM, ACFS
Knowledge of telecommunication protocols for value added services (TCP/IP, SS7, INAP, CAMEL, MAP, Sigtran)

Communication skills:

Excellent English oral and written skills.
Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and other third party companies.
Ability to work and interact effectively in a team environment.
