Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Windows Systems Administrator that will be responsible for design, administration and maintenance of our internal and customers’ IT infrastructure. As a systems administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining a stable and secure LAN/WAN and Telecommunications network. The individual will be responsible for the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of the local area network (LAN) and/or wide area network (WAN). This includes but is not limited to Windows servers, workstations, switches, routers and other peripherals. You will also serve as a liaison with vendors and other third party providers.

Requirements:

• You MUST have at least 3 years of experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting Windows 2003/2008 Servers in an Active Directory and MS Exchange 2003/2010 Environment
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010 advanced configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of security technologies: firewalls, virus and spam prevention and detection.
• Experience maintaining a TCP/IP network.
• Experience with router and switch administration, routing Protocols, BGP, gigabit ethernet, switching technology, VLANs.
• Experience maintaining software licensing and hardware inventory controls.
• Experience with network backup, restore and disaster recovery.
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN equipment and telecommunications equipment.
• Experience with storage solutions, including tape drives, NAS and storage array systems.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies, ISA server and smart card technology would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft latest products and application releases
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and integration related problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.

Responsabilities:

• Work under the direct supervision of the head of IT department, handle daily network duties.
• As part of the network IT services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT and network infrastructure to meet business demands of our customers.
• Participate in the design and implementation of IT systems, applications, and hardware; conduct capacity planning as needed.
• Provide level 2 and level 3 system support and escalation expertise based on job leveling. Prioritize and respond to help desk tickets as appropriate.
• Serve as cornerstone for escalating issues; provide timely response to customer escalation.
• Perform file system configuration & management; perform server backups and recovery procedure.
• Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
• Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
• Develop and maintain server documentation
• Proposes and implements network enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the network.
• Maintains corporate network, technologies for connectivity of remote customers.
• Uses standard Corporate IT tools to monitor and maintain network as per agreed service levels tools include network monitoring solutions, server monitoring solutions, trouble ticketing system etc.

Education/Certificates:

• Microsoft certifications MCP, MCSA are required. Microsoft Exchange certification would be a MAJOR plus
• Cisco certifications are a BIG plus
• Linux knowledge would be an advantage
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field or comparable experience.
